There’s a reason many people are into military men and women…Their personality is a close second.
I’ve always admired their physique. Their profession enables them to keep an athletic physique that is sexy. Above that, they have visible strength. I have especially admired their abs.
The women have a strong core without the usual six-pack that is on men. While many other women seek to have that defined six pack look. Sadly I gave a try to the traditional methods of obtaining this figure.
Diet plan after diet plan my body reverted. The worst part of it all is that it doesn’t make sense why it is happening after all that effort.

Mistakes when getting abs
In order for this to work you need to face some of the mistakes that we’ve been making when it comes to getting abs.
Accelerated aging – Kyphosis happens when poor abs training which causes overactive upper abdominals that pull the upper body forward. The visible sign is the obvious hunch that you develop with time.
What this does is push your breastbone towards your pubic bone and consequently crowding your internal organs. This means your internal organs fail to function to their full capacity because they are stressed. You actually increase your chance of diseases and you age faster from the inside.
Bulging potbelly and back pain – When you shorten and tighten your hip flexors with the wrong kinds of abs training you actually pull your pelvis forward and down. This distortion in the pelvis will lead to backache.
You eventually look fatter than you actually are. I really hate those. Because you look like you have a pouch when you aren’t even fat. I’m probably focusing on the wrong thing. The damage to your back is obviously a bigger deal.
Serious disc damage – When some exercises force your spine to flex more than it should you increase the intra-discal pressure. This might eventually squeeze important fluid out from between the spinal discs.
You develop a disc protrusion or even worse disc hernias. Generally, it takes months to recover from a hernia. These are months you definitely cannot afford to waste recovering from something that is avoidable.
Three abdominal muscles
Training the three abdominal muscles is important. Todd calls this the 3 Fields of Action. In order to create bullet-proof abs, he targets them and aims to make sure you engage all three. This creates a 360 degrees assault on your midsection.
- The Rectus Abdominis is responsible for flexing the spine. It also stabilizes against lengthening and helps the trunk in cases of extreme movements. The long muscle is recognizable as the desired but elusive 6 pack that all men want.
- The Obliques which wrap your core in a protective sheath. The internal and external obliques act as a corset that cinches you that V-tapered look that drives all the men and women crazy.
- Then there is the Posterior Chain found on the back made up of the lower back, gluteus maximus (butt), hamstrings, and spinal erectors. This binds the core together to achieve the spinal neutral position.
